General Information
The Museum of the Highwood is located at 406 First Street S.W. in downtown High River, Alberta.
You are invited to visit us and enjoy a guided tour or browse around on your own. Our fabulous, family-friendly Imagination Station features fun and educational activities for kids and their “helpers”. (Update June 25, 2020: the Imagination station is closed for now.)
We offer both in-house and outreach programs and special events for all ages. Please call the museum for more information at 403-652-7156.
The Museum of the Highwood has over 20,000 photographs of High River and the surrounding area in its distinguished collection, spanning over the past 125 years.
The museum is very proud to be the home of the High River Visitor Information Centre. Please call, email or drop by the museum and we will be happy to provide you with information about the Highwood area, help you plan your adventure or send you in the right direction!

Monday to Saturday:
9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 4:00 p.m.
Admission Prices
Admission to the Museum of the Highwood is free; however donations are welcome and appreciated.
